About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Olympic Dam Emergency Services team that operates across Olympic Dam’s Processing and Underground operations. This is an entry level role into our emergency services team where the successful applicant will receive training and formal education modules covering medical response, emergency response, and drug and alcohol testing.
The successful completion of our onboarding will result in receiving nationally accredited courses in Certificate IV Health Care, along with Certificate lll in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue. The timeframe to complete this process is flexible and will be based on your existing training, personal and cultural needs.
This role will suit an applicant that has experience in ambulance, healthcare, or fire/rescue and is looking to make a transition into a mining sector that values their qualifications and experience.
The position is based in Roxby Downs and can be supported as residential, drive-in drive-out (DIDO) or fly-in fly-out (FIFO) on a 7:7 day and night roster. Flexible work options will be considered.
About You
You will be committed to making a positive difference in the health and safety of others, enjoy working outdoors and be comfortable undertaking a range of physical activities during your day.
You will have:
- Minimum of C class driver’s license
- Excellent communication skills and interaction experience with personnel, patients or customer service
- A proactive drive towards continuous improvement
- Emergency Health Care experience and relevant qualifications (Enrolled Nurse or higher) and/or,
- Ambulance experience and relevant qualifications (Cert IV Healthcare or higher) and/or,
- Fire and Rescue experience and relevant qualifications (Cert 2 in Public Safety or higher)
Applicants with any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:
- AHPRA Registration (Paramedic or Nurse)
- Cert 3 in Public Safety Firefighting Operations
- Previous experience in a similar role
